On December 18, the Council of the European Union formally adopted the revised draft of the EU Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EUDR). The revision removes printed books, newspapers, images and other printed products, manuscripts, typed documents, and plans (HS code: ex 49) from the regulation’s scope. It also postpones the implementation timeline, extending the compliance deadline for all operators to December 30, 2026, with micro and small enterprises granted an additional six-month grace period beyond that date.
