Shanxi Market Supervision Administration

The Shanxi Provincial Administration for Market Regulation was newly established in accordance with the "Plan for Institutional Reform in Shanxi Province." It integrates the responsibilities of the Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce, the Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, and the Provincial Food and Drug Administration. Additionally, it incorporates the price supervision and anti-monopoly enforcement responsibilities from the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the anti-monopoly enforcement responsibilities regarding business concentration from the Provincial Department of Commerce, and the patent management responsibilities from the Provincial Department of Science and Technology. The specific work of the Provincial Food Safety Committee and the Provincial Standardization Work Leading Group is also undertaken by the Shanxi Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, which also operates under the name of the Shanxi Provincial Intellectual Property Office.
