Environmental Management Bureau of the Philippines (EMB)

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) is a principal government agency under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) of the Philippines, responsible for implementing and regulating laws, policies, and regulations related to environmental protection. Its main responsibilities include: being in charge of formulating, integrating, coordinating, supervising, and implementing all policies, programs, projects, and activities related to pollution prevention and control as well as environmental management and enhancement; managing air and water quality and conducting environmental assessments; being responsible for issuing permits and certification services related to environmental protection; and being in charge of implementing the Environmental Impact Assessment System.
