The Ministry of Construction of Vietnam (Bộ Xây dựng, MOC) is a constituent ministry of the Central Government of Vietnam headquartered in Hanoi. In March 2025, the former Ministry of Transport of Vietnam was merged into the Ministry of Construction, greatly expanding its functions. It administers nationwide construction sectors, including urban-rural planning, construction works, urban infrastructure, housing and real estate market, and building materials industry. It also manages highway, railway, inland waterway, maritime and civil aviation transport. The ministry formulates industrial laws, regulations and technical standards, supervises construction quality and safety, promotes green buildings and smart cities, engages in domestic and international industry cooperation, and boosts infrastructure development and urbanization in Vietnam.
