This Act specifies the definitions of terms, the Food Committee, the application and granting of licenses, the duties of license holders regarding food, food control, the registration and advertising of food products, the authorized officers/supervising officers, the suspension or revocation of licenses, penalties, transitional provisions, and fee schedules. It is applicable to the control of food in Thailand. This Act is the primary regulatory basis for the quality and safety control of food and food contact materials in Thailand.
