Swiss Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Guidelines

This guide is based on the version of the Chemicals Ordinance (ChemO) as of May 1, 2022. ChemO specifies the creation and content requirements for Safety Data Sheets (SDS) by referencing the EU REACH Regulation. This guide explains the Swiss SDS, including which substances and mixtures must have an SDS, which do not require an SDS, who must prepare an SDS, and to whom the SDS must be submitted. It is applicable to activities related to the production, use, import, and export of chemical substances and mixtures in Switzerland.
