(South Korea) Technical Support Regulations for the Operation of Animal Ethics Committees in Chemical Toxicity Testing

This document provides regulations for the operation of Animal Ethics Committees in chemical toxicity testing, including the purpose, scope, definitions, composition of the committee, responsibilities of the committee chairperson, authorities and obligations of the committee, meetings, review and approval of animal experimentation plans, notification of review results, conflicts of interest and abstentions by committee members, confirmation of the status of animal research facilities management, post-review supervision, confidentiality, and operational rules. These regulations are applicable to the establishment and operation of Animal Ethics Committees in chemical toxicity testing and research institutions in compliance with the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Act (KOSHA) and announcements by the Ministry of Employment and Labor regarding the composition and operation of these committees.
