(Philippines) Chemical Control Order for Hexavalent Chromium Compounds

This document regulates the importation, manufacture, handling, processing, storage, sale, distribution, use, and disposal of hexavalent chromium compounds within the Philippines. Its provisions include the scope of application, regulated uses, general requirements and procedures (registration and licensing, import requirements, required documents, Hexavalent Chromium Compounds Management Plan, labelling requirements, emergency and contingency plans, production requirements, handling and storage requirements, etc.), compliance with the Priority Chemicals List (PCL), public access to information and confidentiality of business information, compliance monitoring procedures, capacity building, liability, and penalty provisions. It applies to importers, distributors, manufacturers, processors, industrial users, transporters, treatment, storage, and disposal (TSD) facilities, and laboratory facilities involved with hexavalent chromium compounds in the Philippines.
