(EU) Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/1297 amending Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards perfluorocarboxylic acids containing 9 to 14 carbon atoms in the chain (C9-C14PFCAs), their salts and C9-C14 PFCA-related substances

This Regulation amends Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council (the Regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals, known as the REACH Regulation) by replacing the original entry 68 on perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA, which has been moved to the EU POPs Regulation) with an entry on perfluorocarboxylic acids containing 9 to 14 carbon atoms in the chain (C9-C14 PFCAs), their salts and C9-C14 PFCA-related substances. It applies to manufacturers or importers within the EU engaged in the manufacture, placing on the market, or use of perfluorocarboxylic acids containing 9 to 14 carbon atoms in the chain (C9-C14 PFCAs), their salts and C9-C14 PFCA-related substances.
