This Regulation amends Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council (the Regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals, known as the REACH Regulation) by adding entry 79 — restrictions on undecafluorohexanoic acid (PFHxA), its salts, and PFHxA-related substances. It applies to manufacturers or importers within the EU engaged in the manufacture, placing on the market, or use of undecafluorohexanoic acid (PFHxA), its salts, and PFHxA-related substances.

This regulation specifies general rules, substance registration, data sharing and the avoidance of unnecessary testing, information in the supply chain, downstream users, evaluation, authorisation, restrictions on the manufacture, placing on the market, and use of certain hazardous substances and mixtures, fees and charges, representatives, information, competent authorities, enforcement, transitional provisions, and final provisions. It applies to producers or importers of substances, mixtures, and articles within the EU engaged in manufacturing, placing on the market, or use.
