Taiwan, China - Controlled Perfluoroalkyl And Polyfluoroalkyl Substances And Their Operational Management Matters (Draft)

This draft is formulated pursuant to Article 24, Paragraph 2 of Article 26, Paragraph 2 of Article 27, and Paragraph 4 of Article 44 of the Taiwan Region's Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Control Act. The draft plans to add 269 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) to the management scope of concerned chemical substances, and specifies their control concentrations and operation methods. The draft classifies PFAS into three categories based on operational risks: perfluoroalkyl acids and their precursors, other per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds; polymers; and gases.
