Operational Tips on Applying for Extension of the Disclosure Period for Chemical Substance Identifiers

This document provides guidance on the work of applying for an extension of the non-disclosure period for chemical substance identifying information, including the applicable objects for applying for an extension, the start date for submitting application materials for extension of disclosure, the receiving deadline, and material preparation and submission. It applies to chemical substances that obtained a new chemical substance environmental management registration certificate before December 31, 2020, in accordance with the Measures for Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances (Order No. 7 of the Ministry of Environmental Protection), as well as chemical substances that were included in the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China before the effectiveness of the Measures for Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances (Order No. 12 of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment) and for which identifying information such as substance names has been protected.
