This regulation template is abbreviated as UN TDG, fully titled "United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods," also known as the "Orange Book." It is an international regulation formulated by the United Nations to standardize the management of dangerous goods transportation. Updated biennially, it provides a regulatory framework for international transport organizations, countries, and regions to enact legislation concerning the transport of dangerous goods. The purpose of this regulation template is to ensure the safe transportation of dangerous goods across various modes of transport, including road, rail, waterway, air, and pipeline, thereby reducing the risk of accidents and protecting human life and the environment. This regulation template is divided into two volumes, with this volume being the second. It specifies the contents of the regulations on the transport of dangerous goods, including provisions for packaging and tanks; consignment procedures; requirements for the manufacture and testing of packaging, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), large packagings, portable tanks, multi-element gas containers, and bulk containers; and regulations related to transport operations.
