Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Amending the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China

This Decision amends the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China. The amendments include: adding four paragraphs to Article 41 as paragraphs two to five; adding "liquid infant formula" after "infant formula milk powder" in Articles 81, 82, and 124; adding three paragraphs to Article 132 as paragraphs two to four. It is applicable to the following activities carried out within the territory of the People's Republic of China: (1) food production and processing, food sales, and catering services; (2) production and operation of food additives; (3) production and operation of packaging materials, containers, detergents, disinfectants, and tools and equipment used for food production and operation; (4) use of food additives and food-related products by food producers and operators; (5) food storage and transportation; (6) safety management of food, food additives, and food-related products.
