This standard specifies the terms and definitions, safety requirements, and safety signs and markings for fuel tanker vehicles and refueling vehicles. It is applicable to fuel tanker vehicles, refueling vehicles, and fuel tanker semi-trailers and refueling semi-trailers refitted from finalized automotive chassis, used for transporting diesel or light fuel oil with UN number 1202, motor gasoline or gasoline with UN number 1203, and kerosene with UN number 1223 as defined in GB 12268, but is not applicable to aircraft refueling vehicles.
