This announcement specifies the relevant matters concerning the implementation of Amendment 42-24 to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code, including the declaration and reporting requirements for packaged dangerous goods carried by ships, the classification requirements for packaged dangerous goods, the packaging requirements for dangerous goods, and the documentation, marks and labels, and stowage and segregation requirements for dangerous goods, and is applicable to activities related to the international maritime transport of dangerous goods and its supervision and regulation.
