Notice of the Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration and the Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration on the Implementation of the ‘Single Container System’ Transport Mode for Water-to-Water Transshipment of Packaged Dangerous Goods Carried by Ships

This notice specifies matters concerning the implementation of the 'Single Container System' transport mode for water-to-water transshipment of packaged dangerous goods carried by ships, including the implementation time, the scope of application and the transshipment declaration requirements. It is applicable to dangerous goods meeting the following conditions: (1) packaged dangerous goods (except fireworks and firecrackers) to be transshipped by water at the Port of Shanghai; (2) departure declaration procedures for ship-carried dangerous goods completed within the jurisdiction of the Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration; (3) a safety and fitness-for-transport report of the departure dangerous goods submitted to a branch of the Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration.
