This announcement, pursuant to relevant provisions of K-REACH and its implementing rules, designates hazardous chemical substances in Korea as substances acutely harmful to the human body, substances chronically harmful to the human body, and substances harmful to the ecological environment (hereinafter referred to as "substances harmful to the human body, etc."), and stipulates transitional measures concerning relevant toxic substances, including transitional measures for the designation and public notification of toxic substances, transitional measures for import declaration of toxic substances, transitional measures for labeling of hazardous chemical substances, transitional measures for business permits for hazardous chemical substances, etc., and provides a list of substances harmful to the human body, etc. It applies to activities related to the production, sale, storage, transportation, use, and import of substances harmful to the human body, etc. within the territory of Korea.

This document, pursuant to Article 2(6), Article 2(6)(2) and (3) and Article 20 of the Act on the Registration and Evaluation, etc. of Chemical Substances (K-REACH) of Korea and Article 3 of its Enforcement Decree, amends the Designation Notice on Acutely Toxic Substances to Humans, Chronically Toxic Substances to Humans and Environmentally Toxic Substances (NICS Public Notice No. 2025-19), mainly including the modification of and additions to the annexes on acutely toxic substances to humans, chronically toxic substances to humans and environmentally toxic substances. It applies to activities such as the production, sale, storage, transport, use and import of substances hazardous to humans, etc. in Korea.
