India-2026 Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Amendment Regulations

These Regulations amend the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Regulations, 2018, and specifically regulate food contact materials (FCMs) used in the packaging of Pan Masala. The main amendments include the addition of item 11, “Pan Masala,” to Schedule IV (List of Recommended Packaging Materials), along with a list of recommended packaging materials. These provisions apply to all manufacturers, importers, and distributors engaged in the packaging of Pan Masala products within India.
