On November 5, 2025, the UK Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) launched a public consultation on revising the Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) phase-down plan. According to the proposal, the UK will lower the current market quota for HFCs permitted by existing regulations to accelerate the phase-down process. The public consultation lasts until December 17, 2025, and feedback is sought on areas including the assessment of the policy's technical feasibility and economic impact.
