Singapore Proposes Environmental Controls for Cypermethrin and Other Chemicals

On November 10, 2025, Singapore notified the WTO of the Environmental Protection and Management Act (Amendment of Second Schedule) (No. 5) Order 2025 and the Environmental Protection and Management (Hazardous Substances) (Amendment No. 3) Regulations 2025. The proposal seeks to control cypermethrin, paraquat, and paraquat salts in any concentration and form as hazardous substances listed in the Schedules of the Environmental Protection and Management Act (EPMA) and the Environmental Protection and Management (Hazardous Substances) Regulations.
