Japan Published the Schedule for Declaration of New Chemical Substances in 2024

In accordance with laws on chemical substance review and manufacturing, enterprises should make a declaration before manufacturing or importing new chemical substances to obtain relevant determination notice, so as to undergo review on the properties of chemicals.

Note: The preliminary review materials shall be submitted before 3pm. Submissions received after this deadline will be accepted in the next round.

Additional Information:

There are two stages of substance property review: preliminary review and review by the committee. The preliminary review will open upon the submission of materials. If you intend to make a declaration, please refer to the information on submitting the preliminary review materials to NITE.

Additionally, the schedule for the declaration of new chemical substances in 2025 will be released around September 2024, so enterprises can plan and prepare in advance.

This notice will help companies that manufacturing and import new chemical substances comply with regulations, thereby guaranteeing the safety and compliance of products.
