South Korea Publishes K-REACH Registration Support Programs

South Korea's Ministry of Environment (MoE) published two K-REACH registration support programs to help enterprises register under K-REACH.

Both programs shall meet the following requirements:

Substances are manufactured/imported in annual volumes of 100 to 1,000 tonnes;
Registration consortium to complete registration by November 2024;
Registration consortium has selected its only representative (OR); and registration consortium includes two or more SMEs that are its members

Program 1: Hazard Test Support

l Provide financial support to enterprises for hazard test data in Korean GLP laboratories;
Support 80%-99% of the cost where test data is produced using alternatives to animal testing, and 60-70% of the cost where general test programs are conducted (alternatives to animal testing are prioritized)
