Existing Chemical Substances

On June 1, 2023, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China issued an announcement which adds 39 chemicals to the "Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China" (IECSC) (the first batch, the 11th batch in total). These 39 chemicals will be managed as existing chemical substances.

Some chemicals will be subject to environmental management of new uses. These management measures mark that the production, usage, and sale of these chemicals will be under more stringent supervision and control, ensuring that they will not pose adverse impacts on the environment and public health.
