On June 20, 2016, the General Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government forwarded the "Shanghai Municipal Catalogue of Prohibited, Restricted and Controlled Hazardous Chemicals" (the first edition of the third batch) (referred to as the "Catalogue") formulated by the Municipal Safety Supervision Bureau. The "Catalogue" issued this time is an optimization and improvement of the local supervision of hazardous chemicals on the basis of the first and second batches of the "Catalogue".
In the "Catalogue", the control area is re-divided into the forbidden part of the city, the forbidden part of the industrial park and the restricted and controlled part of the central city. All the hazardous chemicals prohibited by Shanghai shall be banned. The prohibition of some hazardous chemicals in industrial parks is prohibited except for all aspects of wholesale operation, and adjustment requirements are put forward for chemical enterprises that have been established to produce, store and use hazardous chemicals and are not engaged in the production of industrial parks, plots and industrial bases."
