Catalogue of Goods Subject to Import Licensing Management (2024) was Issued

On December 29, 2023, the Ministry of Commerce, in conjunction with the General Administration of Customs, jointly issued the Announcement on the Publication of the Catalogue of Goods Subject to Import Licensing Management (2024) (Notice No. 64 of the Ministry of Commerce, 2023) (hereinafter referred to as the "Catalogue"). Based on the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, the Administration Measures for the Management of Goods for Import and Export, the Administration Measures for the Management of Ozone-depleting Substances, the Administration Measures for the Import Licensing of Goods, the Administration Measures for the Import of Machinery and Electronic Products, and the Administration Measures for the Import of Used Machinery and Electronic Products, etc., the Catalogue has come into effect on January 1, 2024.

 

The Catalogue specifies the types of goods, HS codes, names of goods, and units for import licensing goods, and is applicable for searching import licensing goods.

 

It includes ozone-depleting substances (trichlorofluoromethane, dichlorodifluoromethane, monochlorotrifluoromethane, etc.), chemical equipment (other distillation or rectification equipment, liquefiers (compress and condense UF6 gas from the cascade into liquid UF6)), and metal smelting equipment, etc.
