Update to the China-National Food Safety Standard for Use of Additives for Food Contact Materials and Products (GB 9685-2016)-2 New Substances Added-Dec 26,2024

The Department of Food Safety Standards and Monitoring Evaluation at the National Health Commission of China issued a notice on December 13, 2024, concerning 11 types of 'three new foods,' which include 1 new food ingredient, 8 new varieties of food additives, and 2 new varieties of food-related products.

The following 2 food contact materials have now been included in the "China-National Food Safety Standard for Use of Additives for Food Contact Materials and Products (GB 9685-2016)":
