Update to the China-National Food Safety Standard for Use of Additives for Food Contact Materials and Products (GB 9685-2016) - 2 New Substances Added-May 12,2025

On May 7, 2025, the Department of Food Safety Standards and Monitoring and Assessment of the National Health Commission issued an announcement regarding 11 new types of food ingredients, additives, and related products, including cherry blossom polyphenols and others. These include 2 new food ingredients (such as cherry blossom polyphenols), 6 new varieties of food additives (including peroxidase), and 3 new food contact materials (such as docosanamide).

These three food contact materials have now been added to the China National Food Safety Standard for Use of Additives for Food Contact Materials and Products (GB 9685-2016).
