On April 28, 2025, the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) announced that two industrial chemicals have been formally added to the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (AIIC). This decision, made following the completion of a 5-year assessment period as mandated by Section 82 of the Industrial Chemicals Act of 2019, marks the culmination of long-term monitoring and evaluation of these chemicals' safety.
