Taiwan, China Lists Four Substances as Toxic and Concern Chemicals

The Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration announced amendments to the Regulation of Toxic Chemical Substances and Their Management and the Regulation of Concern Chemical Substances and Their Management. Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) and its salts and related compounds, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and its salts and related compounds, nonylphenol (NP), nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEO), and cyclobutane were newly listed as toxic and concern chemicals, with corresponding control measures set to take effect on June 1, 2025.
