ECHA Proposes Adding UV-326 and 3 Other Substances to REACH Authorization List

On February 2, 2026, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) released its 13th recommendation for authorization, proposing the inclusion of four Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) into the REACH Authorization List. Enterprises must submit usage data and comments by May 2, 2026. If the proposal is approved, companies using these substances will subsequently need to apply for special authorization.

According to the procedure, the European Commission will make the final decision on the content of the Authorization List and the conditions of use for each substance. If a substance is included in the list, companies must obtain authorization before the specified deadline to sell or use the relevant substance within the European Economic Area (EEA).
