5 substances were added to the China Inventory of Hazardous Chemicals-Apr 16, 2026

On April 16, 2026, the Ministry of Emergency Management, in conjunction with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Health Commission, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Railway Administration, and the Civil Aviation Administration of China, jointly issued Announcement No. 3 of 2026, deciding to incorporate five chemicals—3-Chloropropyne, 2-Iodoxybenzoic acid, 4-Nitrobenzyl 2-diazoacetoacetate, Methane sulfonyl azide, and 3-Methyl-2-nitrobenzoic acid—into the China Inventory of Hazardous Chemicals (2015).

This adjustment was made in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals. The announcement shall come into effect from the date of its promulgation.

The five chemicals newly added to the Inventory are as follows:
