The List of Chemicals Subject to Compulsory Declaration in Vietnam provides names and HS codes of chemical substances, and the list is regulated by the Law on Chemicals (Order No.06/2007/QH12), which came into effect on July 1, 2008.

► According to the Law on Chemicals, manufacturers of chemicals subject to compulsory declaration shall submit a written declaration to the provinicial or municiple Department of Industry and Trade before January 31 annually. Importers shall submit a written compulsory declaration to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) within 15 working days after customs clearance. However, compulsory declaration may be exempted in circumstances that chemical substances produced or imported for emergency uses such as safety, national defense, or in response to natural disasters, diseases, or epidemics.

► Chemical substances that are not included in the list are not subject to corresponding obligations.
