Technical Center for Solid Waste and Chemicals Management, Ministry of Ecology and Environment

The Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Technical Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment is a directly affiliated institution at the department level under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. It is responsible for formulating policies, regulations, strategies, standards, and technical specifications related to risk prevention and pollution control of solid waste, chemicals, and heavy metals. The center conducts investigations, analysis, testing, technical identification, and scientific research on solid waste pollution prevention and chemical management. It also provides technical support for international conventions and assists in administrative approval reviews for cross-border transfers of hazardous waste. Additionally, it supports the construction of "waste-free cities" and environmental management of tailing ponds, offers technical guidance to local management institutions, and undertakes information analysis and technical services.
