Beijing Municipal Administration of Market Supervision

The Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation (referred to as the Municipal Market Regulation Bureau) is a component department of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, at the directorate level. It also operates under the name of the Office of the Beijing Municipal Food and Drug Safety Commission (referred to as the Municipal Food Safety Commission Office). The Municipal Market Regulation Bureau implements the guidelines, policies, and decisions of the CPC Central Committee regarding market regulation, as well as the relevant work requirements of the Municipal Committee. In the process of fulfilling its duties, it maintains and strengthens the Party's centralized and unified leadership over market regulation. The Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation was newly established as a result of the institutional reform in Beijing in 2018. It was officially inaugurated on the morning of November 16, 2018.
