The Council of Ministers of Thailand (Thai: คณะรัฐมนตรี, RTGS: Khana Ratthamontri) is an institution composed of 35 senior-most members of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand. The Cabinet is the principal executive body of the Thai government. Its members are nominated by the Prime Minister and formally appointed by the King of Thailand. Most Cabinet members are heads of government departments, holding the title of “Minister of State” (Thai: รัฐมนตรี, RTGS: Ratthamontri). The Prime Minister of Thailand serves as the chairperson of the Cabinet. The Cabinet is commonly referred to as the "government" or the "Government of the Kingdom of Thailand."
