This standard specifies two methods for determining the organochlorine content in oil field chemicals: Method A - Microcoulometry and Method B - Oxygen Bomb Combustion. Method A is applicable to samples with an organochlorine content greater than 0.005% and measures organochlorine that can enter crude oil. Method B is applicable to samples with an organochlorine content greater than 0.05%.
