This act specifies the management of persistent organic pollutants in South Korea, including general provisions, prohibition or restriction on the production, export, import, and use of persistent organic pollutants, regulations on the emission of persistent organic pollutants; treatment of waste containing persistent organic pollutants; management of facilities containing persistent organic pollutants; and penalties. It is applicable to the control and management of persistent organic pollutants in South Korea.
