Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act (2023 Amendment)

This act specifies the legislative purpose, powers, functions and responsibilities, administrative regulations, assessment of hazardous substances and new organisms, control measures by the Environmental Protection Authority, inspections, enforcement and ancillary powers, appeals, emergencies, miscellaneous provisions, and transitional provisions. It is applicable to the importation, production, use, transportation, storage, and disposal of the following types of hazardous chemicals, mixtures, or products in New Zealand.
