This regulation, amended based on the 2015 version, aligns with selected provisions of the 7th and 8th revisions of GHS. It specifies the classification of products, mixtures, materials, or substances; labeling; safety data sheets; exceptions; additional requirements; physical hazard classifications; health hazard classifications,etc. It is applicable to manufacturers, importers, and downstream users in Canada who are involved in the classification, labeling, and packaging of chemical substances, mixtures, products, and materials on the market. This act provides a three-year transition period.After December 14, 2025, all chemicals imported or sold within Canada must comply with the latest regulatory requirements for safety data sheets and labels.
