Main Content
This regulation, known as the Eurasian REACH, is similar to the EU's REACH regulation and specifies unified requirements for chemicals circulated, used, and implemented within the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, including mandatory safety requirements for chemical substances, mixtures, and other chemical products, as well as their registration, evaluation, approval, and labeling. It is applicable to all chemical products circulated within the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, except for certain products such as chemicals used for scientific research, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, etc. Note: Originally set to take effect on June 2, 2021, according to Decision No. 19 of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council, some secondary documents must be passed before it becomes effective. If these documents are not in place, the procedures specified in the rulebook cannot function. The new effective date was later set for December 30, 2023, contingent on the timely passage of these secondary documents. These documents have not yet taken effect, so the exact effective date of TR EAEU 041/2017 remains undetermined.
