This standard, based on the seventh revision of the United Nations GHS, specifies the general requirements for the hazard classification of chemical products, including general provisions, classification of chemicals dangerous due to their physical and chemical properties, hazard classification of chemicals based on their effects on human health, and classification of chemical hazards based on environmental impact. It is applicable to the hazard classification of chemical products and does not apply to minerals in their natural state, finished pharmaceuticals and veterinary products, finished perfumes and cosmetics, radioactive materials, nuclear substances, finished food products, smoking and non-smoking tobacco products, chemical production waste that needs to be buried or destroyed, and products (including medical products).
