This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, and labeling for bump caps, which are intended to protect the human head from impacts with fixed rigid objects and/or structures. It is not suitable for head protection against injuries caused by falling objects, projectiles, moving loads, or suspended loads, and is not intended for fire fighting, emergency rescue, sports, or vehicular head protection.
