Turkish Food Codex Regulation on Materials and Substances in Contact with Food

This regulation governs materials and substances in contact with food in Turkey. It includes provisions on the purpose, scope, basis and definitions, general rules, special rules for active and intelligent substances and materials, special rules for material and substance groups, material permit regulations, new material permit applications, permit modifications, compliance declarations, etc. It applies to materials and substances in contact with food in Turkey, including active substances and intelligent materials, specifically those a) intended to come into contact with food; b) produced for contact with food; c) substances and materials that may come into contact with food or whose components may migrate into food under normal or foreseeable conditions of use. It also applies to substances and materials in contact with water for personal consumption. It does not apply to substances and materials that are part of food and are edible, water fixtures designed for public or individual water supply, or substances and materials provided in antique form.
