Act on Partial Amendments to the Industrial Safety and Health Act and the Work Environment Measurement Act

This document revises certain provisions of the “Japanese Industrial Safety and Health Act (ISHL)” and the “Work Environment Measurement Act ” The amendments to the “Japanese Industrial Safety and Health Act (ISHL)” primarily include promoting safety and health measures for self-employed individuals and others; promoting workplace mental health measures; promoting measures to prevent health hazards caused by chemical substances; promoting the prevention of occupational accidents caused by machinery and other equipment; and promoting the prevention of work-related accidents involving older workers. The amendments to the “Work Environment Measurement Act “ primarily include promoting measures to prevent health hazards caused by chemical substances.
