South Korea—Regulations on Standards for Product Packaging Materials and Methods, etc./Product Packaging Regulations (June 22, 2026 Edition)

These regulations establish standards for product packaging materials and packaging methods in South Korea, as well as annual reduction targets for synthetic resin packaging materials, among other matters. They cover standards for product packaging materials, standards for product packaging methods, the product packaging self-assessment system, inspections of product packaging materials and packaging methods, labeling requirements for product packaging materials and packaging methods, annual reduction standards for synthetic resin packaging materials, exceptions to the annual reduction limits for synthetic resin packaging materials, the reuse of packaging containers, and products prohibited from being repackaged. These regulations apply to all parties involved in the manufacture, import, or sale of products within the Republic of Korea.
