The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (English: State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, abbreviated as SASAC), commonly referred to as the State Council SASAC, is a full-ministerial-level directly affiliated special institution of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. Established in 2003 in accordance with the "State Council Institutional Reform Plan" approved by the first session of the 10th National People's Congress, the State Council SASAC is a full-ministerial-level directly affiliated special institution of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. Authorized by the State Council, it performs the duties of a contributor on behalf of the state for relevant enterprises. The scope of supervision of the State Council SASAC includes the state-owned assets of some central enterprises (excluding central financial enterprises and other special central enterprises).
