The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, with the English name Ministry of Industry and Trade Web Portal (MOIT), commonly referred to as the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, is a government department in Vietnam. It is responsible for promoting, regulating, governing, and managing the development of industry and trade in the country. The predecessor of the Ministry of Trade was established in 1945 when the modern unified national cabinet was formed, and it became an independent ministry in 1955.
In 2007, the Ministry of Trade was merged with the Ministry of Industry to form the Ministry of Industry and Trade, also known as the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade. Its main office is located in Hanoi.
