The People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is the state administrative organ of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China and the executive organ of the People's Congress of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is accountable to and reports work to the People's Congress of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the State Council of the People's Republic of China. When the People's Congress of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is not in session, it is accountable to and reports work to the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the State Council of the People's Republic of China. It exercises administrative powers in accordance with the law.
