The People's Government of Beijing Municipality is the state administrative organ of Beijing Municipality, People's Republic of China, and the executive organ of the People's Congress of Beijing Municipality. It is accountable to and reports work to the People's Congress of Beijing Municipality and the State Council of the People's Republic of China. When the People's Congress of Beijing Municipality is not in session, it is accountable to and reports work to the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Beijing Municipality and the State Council of the People's Republic of China. It exercises administrative powers in accordance with the law.
